Cytobank sorts files into three types when an experiment is uploaded. These types are reflected on the channel annotation page: experiment files, compensation controls, and other controls.

You can move a file from the compensation controls category by selecting it, choosing the new type from the drop-down menu below the file list, and clicking on "Move file(s)". Similarly, you can move a file from another type into the compensation controls type the same way.

Open and close the "Compensation Controls" panel by clicking on the little arrow to the left of the "Compensation Controls" title.
