The Experiment Inbox shows each experiment as a row, similar to an email inbox. When you add new experiments (or when someone gives you access to their experiments) you will see a new line in your Inbox. The experiment status is based on whether it is incomplete (all experiments are incomplete until files are uploaded), active or public.  Public experiments are available to all users registered on Cytobank.  They are a good way to share tutorials or make data from a paper publicly available.

Usually a folder of flow files is one experiment.  In general, you should make sure that all the files in an experiment are comparable to each other. For example, the flow files should all have the same number of channels.
