The software has tried to automatically assess information that you provided about your experiment and calculated a MIFlowCyt compliance score; a value between 0 and 100%, (also shown as zero to five stars). Flow Sample/specimen details contribute with 30% to the total score. What does MIFlowCyt require for Experiment Overview and how is the score calculated All items are considered relatively based on their importance. Each of the samples (FCS files) should be annotated. The score for this section is pro-rated based on how well and how many FCS files are annotated. You may click on the '+' sign in order to expand details on what has been considered for each of the FCS files. The algorithm always considers sample description, sample source description, sample treatment description, sample characteristics and fluorescence reagent annotation. In addition, for bilogical samples, the sample source organism, sample source age, sample source gender, sample source phenotype, sample source genotype, and sample source treatment are considered. Sample source location is considered for environmental samples. Importance of various items may be considered differently for different types of samples. Sample/specimen annotation can be provided from the experiment overview page by clicking on describe sample or show sample description and than edit. MIFlowCyt is described in the MIFlowCyt manuscript and the actual specification can be downloaded from ISAC web pages.
