The software has tried to automatically assess information that you provided about your experiment and calculated a MIFlowCyt compliance score; a value between 0 and 100%, (also shown as zero to five stars). Instrumentation details contribute with 20% to the total score. What does MIFlowCyt require for Instrument Details and how is the score calculated For each FCS file, the data acquisition instrument and its settings shall be provided. These include the instrument manufacturer (make) and model and this information is also sufficient to describe instrument components that are not user configurable and that are part of a standard model. However, all non-standard or configurable components still need to be specified. Commonly, this includes the specification of optional filters, their installation dates and PMT detector voltages. Generally, details about Flow Cell and Fluidics, Light Sources, Excitation Optics Configuration, Optical Filters, Optical Detectors, Optical Paths shall be either specified or derivable from the instrument make and model used.
In order to assign the MIFlowCyt compliance score, currently, the algorithm only considers whether instrument manufacturer (make) and model has been provided for all the FCS files. Additional details and specific instrument settings will be taken into account once there is a user interface to provide these.
MIFlowCyt is described in the MIFlowCyt manuscript and the actual specification can be downloaded from ISAC web pages.
