  • The median by definition is the 50th percentile: sort all the numbers and take the middle value.  For example, the median of (1,2,10,3,5) is 3.

To calculate 95th percentile: sort all the numbers and take the value at the "95th spot".  For example, in a column of 100 values, sort and take the one at position 95.
