  • 2.2 was released on 27 June, 2010, at about 2200 Pacific Time. Here is a list of the highlights:

    • Performance should be improved, especially for large experiments
    • We've upgraded underlying software to current versions, including Ruby and Rails
    • IE8 compatibility has been improved (we still recommend Firefox if you have access)
    • We've added an option for requesting a DVD of your Cytobank experiments
    • A bug when opening PDFs from the attachments area has been fixed
    • CyToF experiment scales should be correct, even if DVS software is used

2.1.4 was released on April 23, 2010. Here is a list of the highlights:

    • When you log out, we provide a link to log out of your openID provider as well (if you use Google or Yahoo; otherwise we provide a reminder to log out). This is to provide extra security for shared computers.
    • Fixed a bug related to channel names when exporting gated populations to FCS files that use a compensation created in Cytobank.
    • When you upload a plate experiment, the plate name is now available in the dimension "Plate".
    • Lists of most popular channels and most popular variables have been added to the inbox. This should prove helpful for reordering reagents, among other things.
    • Cytobank now accepts compensation files from FlowJo.
    • When you are sharing an illustration, you can now give users full access to your experiment right from the sharing page. This page also now displays the project (if any) that your experiment belongs to.
    • log base 2 is now available as an equation.

We're releasing an update (2.1.3) to Cytobank on March 30, 2010. Here is a partial list of new features included in this release:

    • Gates, compensations, and annotations can now be imported from one experiment to another.
    • Users can access our support chat room through the help link.
    • You can now access a PDF from within Firefox (as opposed to having to open it in Adobe Reader).
    • FCS file exports now include user-specified long channel names.
    • Plate row, plate column, and plate have been added as dimensions for the illustration page.
    • You can now remove all of the tags on an annotation page (such as dosages) with a single button.
    • Illustration presets have been fixed.
    • When an experiment is shared with you, or when you are added to a project, you will now receive an email notification.

We released an update (2.1.2) to Cytobank on March 19, 2010. Here is a partial list of new features included in this release:

    • You can now import a compensation file from another experiment that has a saved compensation file.
    • Gates can be applied to a subset of files using the new "tailored gates" functionality in the gating area. (This is currently available for rectangle, ellipse, and polygon gates.)
    • Labels for heatmap rows are now available in the working illustration area. (Labels for columns in the working illustration area, and labels for either rows or columns on a print view, are coming soon. For now, the table of statistics on the print view has labels.)
    • Text data exported via "Export Table of Events" now indicates whether the data is compensated or uncompensated in the file names.
    • Multiple values show up in heatmaps with an "L" now.
